IRS Issues Final Regulations on "Net Investment Income" Tax
Among the tax provisions included in the 2010 Affordable Care Act was a significant new tax on the investment income of high income earners.. The new tax applies to “Net Investment Income” earned in 2013 and later years. Thus, taxpayers will have to report the tax for the first time on their 2013 tax returns.
